Take A Trip To San Francisco For Bulgari’s Jewelry Exhibit

Bulgari Exhibit

Bulgari will hold a five month exhibit of his jewels at de Young Museum in San Francisco

Starting September 21st and extending to the 17th of February next year, de Young Museum in San Francisco will display over 150 pieces of Bulgari jewelry. The exhibit is titled The Art of Bulgari: La Dolce Vita and Beyond with the jewels coming from a time span of four decades. The baubles will be from the Hollywood Golden Age, many of them borrowed from the personal collection of star Elizabeth Taylor.

Bulgari is known for his trademark of bold color combinations with his gemstones and use of heavy gold reminiscent of Greco-Roman classicism, Italian Renaissance and even 19th-century Rome but is most famous for his clientele. Old Hollywood stars like Sophia Loren, Ingrid Berman and the aforementioned Elizabeth Taylor were huge fans of the jeweler which gave Bulgari credibility in his artwork.

If you happen to be in the San Francisco area the same time as the exhibit, do not miss your chance at seeing Bulgari’s historic jewels! But before then, take a sneak peak at some of Bulgari’s jewelry below.
